Your watch strap touches your skin longer than any garment you own. Twelve hours a day or more. Workouts, sweat, showers, sleep.
In a 2024 peer-reviewed study (Environmental Science & Technology Letters, University of Notre Dame), 68% of tested smartwatch bands showed elevated fluorine, the chemical marker of PFAS. The source: fluoroelastomer, the synthetic rubber behind many premium sport bands. The researchers' advice was direct: avoid fluoroelastomer, wear woven nylon.
And the band you own has a second problem you can smell. That odor after a workout is bacteria, growing in trapped sweat.
We rebuilt the strap at the fiber level to answer both.
Graphene oxide is blended into the nylon at 1% by weight and melt-spun into the fiber itself. The strap is 100% this yarn, in one colorway, because the color is the carbon.
Silver and copper treatments release ions from the surface, so every wash spends more of the finish. LATTICE goes the other way. The graphene oxide enters the polymer before the fiber exists, then gets melt-spun and sealed inside the yarn. Nothing has to leach to work, and the proof is the test order: the 99% number was measured after 50 washes.
Commercially pure titanium: corrosion-proof in salt and sweat, hypoallergenic, roughly 40% lighter than steel. The NATO 20 and the AW Buckle share one hardware set, with the Graphene-X name carved in the metal.
The British Ministry of Defence specified it on requisition form G10: twenty millimeters, nylon, and one clever trick. The strap passes under the watch, so a failed spring bar leaves the watch on your wrist. Fifty years on, the silhouette is perfect and the material is not. We kept the geometry and rebuilt the rest.
Woven nylon holds no pooled sweat layer the way solid rubber does. Air moves through it, water leaves it, a sink rinse resets it. Machine wash cold, air dry, no softener, no dryer. The adjustment holes are sealed by laser and ultrasonic finishing so the edges hold.

The AW Buckle and the AW Fidlock fit the large band family: 49mm Ultra, 46mm Series 10 and 11, 45mm Series 7 to 9, 44mm Series 4 to 6 and SE, and the legacy 42mm Series 1 to 3. They do not fit 38mm, 40mm, 41mm, or the new 42mm on Series 10/11. Check your Series, not just the number. Between Fidlock sizes at 160-165mm, take the M/L and use the micro-adjust.

We ran the webbing to 2,000 newtons, roughly the pull of a 200 kg load. No damage, no deformation.
A multi-station rig works the hardware and the webbing over and over, the same durability check Braloba runs for the brands it supplies.
The strap is worked under a loaded head, across the weave and across the adjustment holes, where a commodity nylon frays first.
Straps hang in a constant-temperature steam chamber, then get washed, so the webbing, stitching, and hardware see heat and detergent before you do.

Characterization on file: AFM monolayer assessment above 99%, plus XRD, FTIR, SEM, TEM, and XPS. We publish the real figure, 1% graphene oxide by weight, rather than imply a strap woven from pure graphene.

We shot this campaign's video inside their testing room, because the testing room is the product story: tensile pulls, abrasion cycles, wash testing, hardware cycling.
